An Ashland police officer Tuesday arrested Greene on charges of failure to report as a sex offender, a parole violation and a warrant charging him with failure to appear in court. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail without bail. Drugs — Victor Jay Martinez, 38, of the 400 block of North Holly Street, Medford. A Medford police officer Tuesday arrested Martinez on a charge of possession of amphetamines. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Tuesday on $5,000 bail. Drugs — Daniel Jaime Mendoza, 24, of the 500 block of Marie Street, Medford. A Medford police officer Tuesday arrested Mendoza on charges of manufacturing marijuana, fourth- degree assault and driving with a suspended license. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Tuesday on $27,000 bail. Drugs — Joshua Noah Haggans, 31, of the 300 block of Chestnut Avenue, Medford. Haggans appeared Tuesday in Jackson County Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with possession of a substance with the intent to manufacture a controlled substance. He was booked into jail then released on his own recognizance. Drugs — Randy Owen Price, 47, of the 300 block of Kings Highway, Medford. Price appeared Tuesday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with possession of amphetamines and attempted second-degree theft. He was booked into jail then released on his own recognizance. Drugs — Stephen Wayne Murphy, 45, no known address. Murphy appeared Tuesday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with possession of amphetamines and providing false information to police about a vehicle. He was booked into jail then released on his own recognizance. Advertisement Crime reports Theft — 1200 block of Maple Park Drive, Medford. A Medford police officer Tuesday took a report of a theft in which binoculars, a knife, reading glasses and other items valued at $1,055 were stolen. Burglary — 1700 block of Orchard Home Court, Medford. A Medford police officer Tuesday took a report of a burglary in which someone entered a home and stole a dryer, a dress and miscellaneous clothing valued at $342. Fire calls Grass fire — A Central Point apartment complex was briefly threatened Tuesday by flames from a grass fire that ended up burning through a fence and causing slight damage to a parked pickup truck. The fire, reported at about 4 p.m., blackened a small area of grass and destroyed about 50 feet of fence line, Jackson County Fire District No. 3 Capt. Steve Waterman said. District 3 crews put out the flames before they spread to apartments in the 1200 block of Cherry Street. A pickup parked near the fence that burned received minor damage, Waterman said. The cause of the fire was unknown late Tuesday. Structure fire — A fire Tuesday night destroyed a travel trailer parked in the 9200 block of Agate Road in White City, District 3 Battalion Chief Roger Adams said. When fire crews arrived at about 8:30 p.m., the trailer was already fully involved with flames, Adams said. A nearby metal-sided shop building also was damaged. Fire investigators believe the blaze started inside the trailer, Adams said. Miscellaneous Man with knife — Medford police Tuesday arrested a knife-wielding man after he tried to fight a group of young adults during an altercation outside an entrance to the Rogue Valley Mall. Dustin Charles Neeson, 22, no known address, was jailed on misdemeanor charges of menacing and disorderly conduct. Medford police Sgt. Bob Sergi said Neeson was intoxicated when he challenged several people to a fight, pulled out a large knife and "bum rushed" the group. Police went to the mall just after 4 p.m. to respond to the incident near the food court entrance.
