Raiders accomplish 20-win year ASHLAND -- Senior Monica Fisher drilled 16 kills and Erin Lytle doled out 44 assists as Southern Oregon snapped a three-match losing streak with a 15-3, 15-11, 15-9 sweep of Cascade College in Cascade Conference play. The victory clinched the Raiders' 11th straight trip to the playoffs and pushed SOU into a first-place tie with No. 15 Concordia at 11-2. Southern Oregon is 20-6, the school's third straight 20-win season. Southern Oregon converted on 14 of 27 attacks in Game 1 against the Thunderbirds (6-20, 0-16 Cascade). SOU broke away from an 11-11 tie in the second game on an attack error by Cascade's Jamie Carpenter, an ace by April Begley and kills by Shelley Gorin and Fisher. Fisher finished the night with a .600 hitting percentage with only one error in 25 attempts. Gorin, Begley and Beth Stidham all had nine kills for the Raiders. Southern Oregon is 9-0 at home and completes its regular-season home slate today with a 1 p.m. contest against Northwest College.
