BIG BUTTE HISTORICAL SOCIETY , Butte Falls, operates two museums. Bill Edmondson Memorial Museum, 432 Pine St., Butte Falls, open 1-4 p.m. Friday, and Sunday; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. BUTTE CREEK MILL , 402 Royal Ave. N., Eagle Point, 826-3531. Built in 1872, the Butte Creek Mill is the last original operating water-powered grist mill in the West, making flour, corn meal, cereals and whole grain mixes on old original stone buhrs. Also country store. Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. CAMP WHITE HISTORICAL MUSEUM : V.A. Domiciliary, Building 200, White City. Open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Saturday. There is no admission charge. Call 826-2111 ext 3674. The museum includes a pictorial history of the 91st infantry division. More than 120,000 men and women spent time here during WWII. We have displays of other branches of the service, and other wars. The museum's research clerk will help you find historical holdings, maps, and pictures of the units stationed here from 1942 - 1946 from our research library. The museum is operated by the Camp White Historical Association. CRATER ROCK MUSEUM . Operated by Roxy Ann Gem & Mineral at 2002 Scenic Ave., Central Point. Displays of colorful rocks of all kinds, also four fossil dinosaur eggs. Open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Admission is free. EAGLE POINT MUSEUM , On North Royal Ave. in Eagle Point. Museum is open noon-4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. Other hours by appointment. Features historical items pertaining to the Upper Rogue and Eagle Point areas including telephone items, insulators, switchboard. Call Barbara at 826-9725. GOLD HILL MUSEUM , 504 First Ave., Gold Hill. Open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Free admission. Displays include exhibits on Gold Hill and the surrounding area. Board of directors meetings are held the second Sunday of the month at the Talent Library. Meetings start at 1:30 p.m. The public is welcome. TRAIL CREEK TAVERN MUSEUM : Operated by the Upper Rogue Historical Society at 144 Old Hwy. 62, off Crater Lake Hwy 62, next door to the Post Office. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday through Monday, from late May through October. Admission is fee. The focus of the museum is Upper Rogue History. For more information, call 878-2932. WHITE CITY : The Camp White Historical Association Museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There is no admission charge. The museum includes a pictorial display of the war record of the 91st Infantry Division. More than 120,000 men and women spent time here during World War II. Along with the pictures, there are stories about the civilian patriots who built Camp White. The museum's archivist will help you find historical holdings, maps and pictures of the unites stationed there from 1942 to 1946. There also is information about the history of this area from the days of the Rogue River Indian Wars to the present. See why it was called "The Alcatraz of the Army." WOODVILLE MUSEUM , First and Oak streets, Rogue River. Hours are noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. These are winter hours. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 1 through Labor Day.
