November 14. 2014 11:47AM Phillips indicted on murder, attempted murder charges A Jackson County grand jury has indicted Wade Eugene Phillips, 42, on murder and attempted murder charges. Jackson County District Attorney Beth Heckert announced this morning that on Thursday a grand jury indicted Phillips on a murder charge in the death of his 37-year-old wife, Cynthia Michelle Phillips, and three attempted murder charges related to others who lived in the Truax Road home. The other three people, including the Phillips' child, weren't injured, she said.  A shooting that injured a woman was reported shortly before 9 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 6522 Truax Road, in an unincorporated area outside Central Point. Jackson County Sheriff's deputies found Cynthia Phillips dead at the home. After a roughly six-hour search of the neighborhood, Wade Phillips was found hiding in a corner of the home's attic and taken into custody. Phillips remains lodged in the Jackson County Jail without bail. He will be arraigned on this indictment next week, Heckert said in her announcement. http://www.mailtribune.com/article/20141114/NEWS/141119774 © 2015 Copyright © 1995-2011 Crain Communications Inc.
