I live on Morrow, and the street's been seriously torn up and loud construction runs all night right outside my window. They also totally block off access to the road, making it hard for me to get home. — Toby S., Medford Sorry about the disturbance and noise, Toby. We asked Dennis Hart, public works design and construction manager, and he said as long as there's mild weather, the project should be complete by the end of next week. Morrow Road, from Velia Street to 600 feet west of Poplar Drive, has been closed nightly for weeks, allowing local access only. The contractor, Pilot Rock Excavation, is replacing 900 feet of 14- and 15-inch sewer line with 21-inch line to eliminate overflow problems that occur during rain storms in nearby neighborhoods. Hart said the project has gone well, and the biggest difficulty has been that there's a lot of groundwater, which means the dirt can cave in as crews are digging, but the groundwater level was expected.
