Oregon Road Conditions & Cams Email Story to a Friend November 16, 2005 White City man killed when car hits tree A White City man died Tuesday after his car drifted off Agate Road and struck a tree, officials said. Investigators are still trying to determine if Billy Buford Cochran, 73, of the 3600 block of Catalpa Drive, was having medical problems prior to the crash, police said. Buford was traveling southbound near the 1200 block of Agate Road at around 10:45 a.m. when his 2000 Dodge pickup left the road and slammed into a large oak tree. He was alone in the car, police said. Buford was not wearing a seat belt when his pickup hit the tree, officials said. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies were assisted at the scene by Jackson County Fire District 3 crews.
