Man killed by police in Wolf Creek Tuesday Apr 25, 2017 at 9:23 AM Apr 25, 2017 at 9:23 AM A man is dead following an officer-involved shooting Monday night in Wolf Creek. The man's identity has not yet been released. The shooting happened at about 9:40 p.m., according to an Oregon State Police news release. OSP Grants Pass Area Command responded to the Wolf Creek General Store, in the 300 block of Old Highway 99, during a search for a man with a felony warrant out for his arrest, police said. A trooper found the man and attempted to take him into custody. A struggle ensued, and the man was shot and killed. The trooper was not injured. The Josephine County Major Crimes Response Team is investigating the incident, with the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety assigned as the lead agency. Additional information related to the investigation will be released by the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety in conjunction with the Josephine County District Attorney's Office, the news release said.
