AUTO RACING Trenchard dominates Lon Skinner Memorial MailTribune.com Writer Posted Sep. 1, 2014 @ 5:23 pm Posted Sep. 1, 2014 @ 5:23 pm » Social News  WHITE CITY — Nick Trenchard of Klamath Falls dominated both nights of racing at the 19th annual Lon Skinner Memorial at Southern Oregon Speedway. Trenchard was pressured for the first 20 laps by Cottage Grove’s Craig Cassell, but Cassell was held up in lapped traffic and Trenchard pulled away in the 50-lap main event on Sunday. With the win, Trenchard took home the $2,000 in prize money. In the IMCA Sport Mods, Jorddon Braaten swept night No. 2 with victories in both the heat and the main to claim the $1,000 top prize. Second-place finisher Matt Duste came from last to second place, putting pressure on Braaten before the checkered flag dropped. World of Outlaws racing is set for Wednesday at Southern Oregon Speedway. Ticket information is available at www.sospeedway.com.
