Wrestler turns tide in Pan Am rematch The Associated Press WINNIPEG, Manitoba -- U.S. wrestler Les Gutches and Cuban Yoel Romero renewed their bitter rivalry and feud Wednesday at the Pan American Games. After Gutches beat Romero in overtime in the 85-kilogram (187.25 pound) class match, the American lightly pounded the back of the Cuban with his hands. Both stood up and began yelling at each other, with Gutches, of Corvallis, taunting Romero and screaming in his face. Romero yelled right back, and the referee separated them. "He did the same thing to me the last time," said Gutches, the 1997 world champion, who lost to Romero in their two most recent meetings. "In Spokane, the love taps went the other way. I'm not proud of it, but it goes both ways." The former South Medford High and Oregon State standout had three wins Wednesday, and will battle Gary Holmes of Canada in today's gold-medal finals.
