COOPER The Associated Press November 04. 2014 8:15PM Incumbent members of Congress winning easily in Oregon PORTLAND — Second District Congressman Greg Walden and Oregon's four other representatives in the U.S. House took sizable leads in their races by 10 p.m. Tuesday. 1ST DISTRICT Democrat Suzanne Bonamici was leading 92,839 to 53,989 over her challenger in early results. Bonamici is the only woman and the newest member in Oregon's congressional delegation. She's a lawyer and former state legislator who is seeking a second full term. Bonamici faces Jason Yates, a service manager for a pest control company. He advocated repealing the Affordable Care Act and passing a balanced budget amendment.  2ND DISTRICT Greg Walden, Oregon's only Republican in Congress, was well on his way to another easy victory, leading 141,838 to 51,441 over Democrat Aelea Christofferson. The former owner of radio stations from Hood River is a member of the GOP leadership, responsible for the party's efforts to elect more Republicans to the House. The Second District includes Jackson County. Christofferson of Bend, is a business owner and former Cover Oregon board member. Libertarian Sharon Durbin trailed, with 6,939 votes. 3RD DISTRICT Incumbent Democrat Earl Blumenauer was cruising past Republican James Bucha 106,743 to 31,917. Blumenauer had a long career in elected office even before going to Congress. He's championed public transit, cycling and urban planning, and he's been a vocal advocate for legalizing marijuana. Bucha was the GOP's nominee for attorney general in 2012. 4TH DISTRICT For the third consecutive election, voters in the southern Willamette Valley and southwestern Oregon are deciding between Democratic Rep. Peter DeFazio and Republican Art Robinson. And for the third time, they chose DeFazio, who stretched out to a big lead over Robinson, 133,970 to 85,147.  DeFazio, who lives in Springfield, has represented Oregon's 4th Congressional District since the 1980s. He's built a liberal voting record and is active on issues that include transportation and forestry. Robinson is chairman of the Oregon Republican Party and runs a research institute on his property in Cave Junction. 5TH DISTRICT Third-term Democrat Kurt Schrader apparently will get a fourth term, as he led Republican Tootie Smith 105,459 to 74,318.
