Medford police reported officers were first dispatched to the damaged home, located in the 400 block of Boardman Street, at 8:38 a.m. today. The home's lone male occupant awoke to find several bullet holes in the house, including some mere inches from where he slept.  After an investigation, police determined the home had been hit seven times by bullets, some of which traveled through the home and exited out the back. Several shots traveled through an infant's bedroom, but the child wasn't in the house at the time of the shooting, police said. No one was reported injured. About 30 minutes later, Medford police responded to a second report of bullet holes in a structure. The call came from Advanced TV and Video at 1035 Court Street, located about 250 feet from the Boardman Street home. Police found two rounds had been fired through the business's front windows. No one was in the building at the time the shots were fired, police said. Investigators believe suspects fired the gunshots sometime between 3 and 8 a.m. today and that both cases are related. Medford police and the Oregon State Police Crime Lab are working on the case together. Anyone with information about the shots should contact Detective Tony Young of Medford police at 541-774-2230.
