Emergency services, Dec. 29 Friday Dec 29, 2017 at 8:00 AM Felony arrests Forgery — Marcella Melgoza, 28, of the 1400 block of Prune Street, Medford. On Thursday, Melgoza made her initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on a felony charge of first-degree forgery. She was booked in the Jackson County Jail and released Thursday on her own recognizance. Burglary — Steven Charles Jackson, 39, no known address. Medford police arrested Jackson on felony charges of second-degree burglary and identity theft, and on misdemeanor charges of fraudulent use of a credit card, felon in possession of a restricted weapon and third-degree theft. He was lodged in jail Thursday on $52,500 bail. Crime reports Theft — 4600 block of Grumman Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 9:21 a.m. Wednesday. Items reported stolen included a tailgate from a silver Toyota Tacoma pickup, two taillights from a Toyota Tacoma and two blemished vehicle batteries and cables. The loss was valued at $1,290. Theft — 200 block of North Front Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen bicycle at 9:24 a.m. Wednesday. The bike was described as black with blue flames, disk brakes and whitewall tires. The loss was valued at $1,300. Vandalism — 2000 block of South Columbus Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of vandalism to a lawn at 12:02 p.m. Wednesday. The damage was valued at $500. Burglary — 1800 block of Easy Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of burglary to a residence at 5:49 p.m. Wednesday. Items reported stolen included a brad nailer, propane heater, two rolls of wire and a six-pack of tall beer cans. The loss and damage to a door frame was valued at $550. Theft — 1200 block of Dakota Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of vehicle theft at 8:48 a.m. Thursday. Items inside the vehicle included tires, hand tools, a black gun and a cooler. The items inside the vehicle were valued at $540. Theft — 2900 block of Provincial Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle. Items reported stolen included a Benchmade knife, green Vortex binoculars, black prescription sunglasses, a black Sprint iPhone 6, camouflage Midland hunting radios, and boxes of ammunition. The loss was valued at $2,640.
