Beavers sign guard from Michigan By The Associated Press Nov 16, 2007 12:00 AM A A CORVALLIS — Kavon Rose, a 6-foot-2 guard from Detroit, has signed a letter of intent to play for Oregon State. Rose averaged 25 points and nine rebounds last season at Finney High School. "Kavon is a strong perimeter player who can come in as a scorer and will develop into a leader," Beavers coach Jay John said. "He is an intelligent player who is extremely versatile and does whatever it takes to be successful." The Beavers were expected to sign one additional player during the early signing period.
