Casebeer commits to play soccer at W. Baptist Katie Casebeer is taking her soccer skills to the Western Baptist women's program. A first-team all-Southern Oregon Conference selection as South Medford High's sweeper last season, Casebeer will join the NAIA Warriors, who compete with Southern Oregon, among others, in the Cascade Conference. Casebeer, 5-foot-8, helped the Panthers forge a perfect SOC campaign and finish 13-3-1 overall last season. "Katie will be a great defender for us," Western Baptist coach Marty Ziesemer said in a released statement. "She will fight for a position right away. She has good size, quickness and vision, and I'm thrilled that she is coming."
