November 06. 2014 11:11AM Learn to respond to emergencies The first of a three-part training series preparing Jackson County residents for natural disaster readiness will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at Central Point City Hall, 140 S. Third St. The Federal Emergency Management Agency course on emergency response training will show basics on disaster first aid, home preparedness, search and rescue, emergency extrication, fire suppression and other disaster skills. Subsequent training sessions will take place Nov. 15 and 16. The annual training, hosted by Community Emergency Response Teams from Central Point, Jacksonville, Ashland and Medford, is free.
