The Eagles narrowly edged Grants Pass, 60-58, for the team crown, while the Pirates were third with 47 points. "(The tournament) had some very tough competition," said Phoenix coach Harry Mondale. "I think it was real good practice for us against everybody." Phoenix’s Kris Kaufman won the 125-pound division, while teammates Nick Amuchastegui (140), Ricky Farrell (171) and Riley Gibson (189) also nabbed victories.
