Medford police arrested Leon Eugene Haynes, 23, Scott Vintreal, 20, Isiah Trevor Mitchell, 26, David Leandre Climmons, 23, Amari Markell Bailey, 19, and Tiwain Joshua Norman, 27, on theft, burglary and criminal mischief charges alleging that the men stole an ATM from a Medford dispensary before dawn Sunday, and a safe from an Ashland dispensary Monday. At about 5 a.m. Sunday, the business alarm went off at Cloud 9 Wellness in the 1400 block of Hilton Road, Medford, according to a news release issued by Medford police Tuesday morning. Surveillance video at the dispensary showed at least six masked suspects in three vehicles. “The suspects worked quickly to commit the burglary, and used one of their vehicles to rip off the roll up door,” according to the release. The ATM was found in a field near Judy Way in west Medford late Sunday afternoon, heavily damaged and its cash removed. On Monday, Ashland police began investigating the theft of a safe from a marijuana dispensary early that morning. Medford police found the safe stolen from the Ashland dispensary in the 4100 block of Hemlock Avenue, discarded in the middle of that street. A tip to Medford police about suspicious activity at a Airbnb residence in the 1500 block of Red Hawk Drive in Medford pointed detectives toward the suspects. At 2 p.m. Monday, police went to the location and saw three vehicles matching the description of those captured in the Medford dispensary’s surveillance video parked in the backyard behind a fence. Detectives said they saw the suspects come and go before more police, including a SWAT Team, arrived and surrounded the residence. “Officers attempted contact, but the suspects ran inside,” the release said. Officers spent about 25 minutes attempting to persuade the suspects to come out, the release added. A search of the location uncovered evidence linking the suspects to both the Medford and Ashland burglaries, the release noted. The six suspects are from the Oakland and Sacramento area, police said.
