A warrant has been issued for the arrest of 36-year-old Thomas Eddie Larson. Jackson County grand jurors Thursday indicted Larson on charges of kidnapping, robbery and theft in connection with the April 9, 2002, raid on a rural home. If convicted, Larson would be subject to mandatory prison terms, ranging from 5 years, 10 months to 7½ years. Larson is believed to be driving a gray, full-sized van stolen from his employer, Rogue Office Installations, said Detective Dan Hobbs, of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department. The vehicle sports a magnetic sign with the company’s name, Hobbs added. The van was reported missing Thursday from a Medford residence in the 2200 block of College Way, which Larson shares with his boss, Hobbs said. Investigators do not know where Larson is headed, he added. Larson posed as a Pacific Power employee to lure Majors out of his house, according to testimony jurors heard last week in Jackson County Circuit Court. Advertisement Three other Medford men — Kirby Lee Barker, Matthew Steven Phillips, 30, and 26-year-old Jeffrey Truman Shepherd — tied up Majors and prodded him around his property with shotguns. They stole dozens of firearms, knives and military equipment from the retired police officer. Shepherd, who previously lived on West McAndrews Road, was found guilty Friday of first- and second-degree kidnapping and first-degree robbery by a unanimous jury verdict. Phillips, of the 100 block of Kensington Square and an acquaintance of the victim, was declared guilty of the same charges by 11 of the 12 jurors. Both men remain in the Jackson County Jail without bail. No date has been set for their sentencing. Barker pleaded guilty in the case in May and testified last week against the three other men. He is set to hear his sentence on April 18. Barker and Shepherd also are serving federal prison sentences for delivering methamphetamine. Stolen firearms found during a July 2002 narcotics search at Barker’s Ford Lane home led to arrests for the raid on Majors’ property.
