Learn about bugs as food Jan 16, 2014 12:00 AM A A Learn about what bugs eat, what eats bugs and what bugs taste like at a free event from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at the Medford library, 205 S. Central Ave. Bugs-R-Us will be held in the Adams and Carpenter community meeting rooms. Local entomologist and naturalist John Jackson will present insect specimens from his collection of more than 800 species. Attendees can view and pet them. Meal worms and dead crickets, which event organizers claim taste like chicken with a potato chip coating, will be available to eat. For more information, visit www.jcls.org or call 541-774-8678.
