Oregon Road Conditions & Cams Email Story to a Friend April 9, 2005 Police seek suspect in stabbing incident SHADY COVE — The suspect in an early-morning stabbing at a local tavern was at large Friday, police said. Robert Joe Dusenberry, 39, of Shady Cove, suffered a 4- to 6-inch horizontal cut on his stomach and 1- to 2-inch slash on his chest, said Jackson County Sheriff Mike Winters. Nursing staff listed Dusenberry in fair condition Friday evening at Rogue Valley Medical Center. Sheriff’s deputies responded to the reported assault at Eagle’s Nest Saloon on Highway 62 at about 1:14 a.m., Winters said. Several men were involved in a physical fight, which resulted in Dusenberry being cut with a 4-inch pocket knife, Winters said. Deputies are looking for a white man between 30 and 40 years old with brown hair and wearing a light-colored, long- sleeved, button-up shirt, Winters said. The suspect is about 5-foot-7 and weighs approximately 160 pounds.
