Dead man found Friday identified Monday Feb 27, 2017 at 2:27 PM Feb 27, 2017 at 4:31 PM Vickie Aldous Mail Tribune @VickieAldous A man found dead in Bear Creek Friday was identified Monday by Medford police as Badi Bullock, 25, who was described as a transient. Police said there is nothing suspicious about the case at this time, and the death appears to have been accidental. Lt. Kerry Curtis said police don't know how Bullock got in the water, at what point he entered the creek, how long he had been in the water or whether he had been camping in the area. Transients frequently camp along the Bear Creek Greenway. Rogue Valley Mall shoppers noticed a body lodged in a tree in the creek Friday afternoon and called police, who pulled the body out along the Bear Creek Greenway. Police initially described Bullock as a black male who appeared to be in his 20s or 30s. He was found between East McAndrews Road and Crater Lake Highway and appears to have drowned, police said. Bullock was due to appear in Jackson County Circuit Court March 20 for a pre-trial conference on charges of resisting arrest and second-degree disorderly conduct, according to court records.  He was arrested after allegedly walking in a traffic lane on Highway 99 near Phoenix in April 2016, causing vehicles to veer around him. He then allegedly resisted being taken into custody, an affidavit said. Also March 20, Bullock was due in court on a charge of second-degree disorderly conduct for allegedly obstructing vehicle or pedestrian traffic in May 2016.
