New Miss Rogue Valley to be crowned Saturday Jan 02, 2009 12:00 AM A A The Miss Rogue Valley Scholarship Program will crown Miss Rogue Valley, Miss Rogue Valley's Outstanding Teen and Miss Rogue Valley's Little Princess at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Crater Performing Arts Center at Crater High School. Tickets are $10. The girls will compete in Interview, Talent, Evening Gown, Lifestyle and Fitness and answer an on-stage question for a chance to win the crown and their ticket to compete at Miss Oregon (the preliminary for Miss America) in July. Contestants for Miss Rogue Valley include: Shawna White 22, of Southern Oregon University, who will perform on French horn; Brittany Griffor, 18, of North Medford High School, flute; Megan Winchell, 17, of Crater High School, pop vocal; Caitlin Schulzke, 18, of SOU, pop vocal; Kirsten Campbell, 18, of SOU, saxophone; and Rachel Morey, 20, of SOU, art showing. The four teen contestants include Alexi Provost-Shean, 14, of St. Mary's School, who will perform tap dance; Amanda Hill, 14, of Scenic Middle School, dance; Bekah Rossetta, 17, of North Medford High School, gymnastics; and Hale Gervais, 13, of Scenic, Broadway vocal. The three princesses are Hallie Shean, 7, Emily Awbrey, 6, and Kirie Jo Gervais, 11.
