Jacksonville businessman is charged in alleged scam Medford police arrested a Jacksonville businessman Wednesday morning after a two-month investigation into an apparent investment scheme. Police say Michael Valentine Rosi, owner of Sunshine Services I, a residential repair business, persuaded at least four Medford residents to invest in his plan to buy high-end vehicles and resell them at a profit. Rosi apparently promised his investors that he would return their money plus a portion of the profits. The police say Rosi never made good on his promises, although he did take $75,000 from his investors. Rosi was arrested at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday in his home at 310 Ridgewood Drive, Jacksonville. Officers with a search warrant located a handgun, and charged him as a felon in possession of a firearm. Rosi also was charged with one count of racketeering, four counts of first-degree aggravated theft, two counts of first-degree theft and four counts of negotiating a bad check. He was lodged on $500,000 bail in the Jackson County Jail. Anyone with information in the case is asked to call Det. Ray Leach at 774-2234.
