Nancy Jo Hollister Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Oct. 8, 2014 at 2:00 AM Posted Oct. 8, 2014 at 2:00 AM » Social News Nancy Jo Hollister, 63, of Medford, Ore. passed away Thursday, October 2, 2014 in the comfort of her home. She was born May 2, 1951 in, Corning, N.Y. to James and Ada Dixon. In 1970 she married in Oceanside, Calif. and moved to the Rogue Valley in 1975. In 1988 she married her love and best friend of the last 26 years who was by her side through her fight with ALS. Nancy worked as a product designer at Harry & David. She loved lighthouses and in her free time she enjoyed camping, reading, and playing golf. Nancy is survived by husband, Chris; son, James Philp (Grace) of Medford, Ore.; daughter, Heather Philp of Medford, Ore.; daughter, Sarah Hollister of Medford, Ore.; three beautiful granddaughters, Raven Browning, Gabi Philp, and Anna Philp; and three sisters, Dianne Denson of Corning, N.Y., Mickey Benton of El Cajon, Calif., and Kelly Mee of Ruch, Ore. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 17, 2014 at Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church with a rosary prayer prior to service. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to ALS association. Arrangements are by Perl Funeral Home.
