Medford police early Monday arrested King on charges of first-degree burglary, second-degree theft, unauthorized use of a vehicle, carrying a concealed weapon and being a felon in possession of a weapon. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail in lieu of $30,000 bail. Drugs — William Blaine Ternan, 46, of the 800 block of South Pacific Highway, Talent. Jackson County Narcotics Enforcement Team officers Monday arrested Ternan on charges of possession and delivery of amphetamines. He was lodged Monday in the Jackson County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail. Fires Flue fire — 400 block of Rolling Hills Drive, Eagle Point. A faulty chimney was blamed for a 4:58 a.m. fire at a residence that received minimal damage from water and smoke. Heat transferred from the chimney ignited combustible wood within the wall, according to the Jackson County Fire District No. 3. No injuries were reported and no cost estimate was available for the damage. Miscellaneous Jail releases — A total of 63 inmates were released last week from the Jackson County Jail to meet its court-ordered cap of 230 inmates. Of those, 19 were released before their scheduled court appearances, four were granted an early release from a sentence and 40 were released for miscellaneous reasons.
