The three men, whose names were not made available, were detained at about 10:30 p.m. on Wagner Creek Road, about two miles from the home where the robbery occurred, Jackson County sheriff’s Capt. Joe Puckett said. Puckett said Talent and Phoenix police officers located the men, who were in possession of items taken from the residence in the 6000 block of Wagner Creek Road. "We definitely had a robbery," Puckett said. At about 8:30 p.m., police went to the home after receiving a report of an armed robbery at the residence. A man and a woman in the residence said three black men came inside and assaulted them. Puckett said the male resident suffered "fairly serious" injuries after being struck several times in the head with an object carried by one of the robbers. After taking items from the home, the robbers fled the scene, Puckett said. "The nature of this crime is very serious," he said. Both residents went to Ashland Community Hospital before police arrived at their home, Puckett said. Their names were not made available. Police were still investigating the incident as of press time.
