She was born February 26, 1945 to William and Hazel Bryant in Santa Cruz, Calif. She graduated from Santa Cruz High School in 1963. Shortly thereafter, in 1965, Jeannie married Larry Garvin in Santa Cruz. They were fond of dancing and often made others envious of their talents on the dance floor. Jeannie had a successful career with, and retired from, Premier West Bank. Throughout her life, she enjoyed golf, shopping, wine tasting, and was a longtime member of the Rogue Valley Country Club and the Southern Oregon Financial Fraud and Security Team. Jeannie was also a champion roller skater. But above all else, Jeannie was a devoted wife, dedicated mother and Grandmother, as well as a loyal and loving friend to many. Jeannie is survived by her loving husband, Larry; her son, Brian Garvin (Julie); her daughter, Monica Garvin-Clayton (Tim); her brothers, Perry and Howard Bryant; and her grandchildren, Emily Weber, Jared Weber, and Austen Garvin. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Sam Bryant; and a sister, Janice Bryant. Jeannie’s family would like to extend their thanks to Pastor Tom Sabens for his unwavering and loyal support throughout Jeannie's illness. They would also like to thank Drs. Dibb, Saunders, and Green, as well as all the staff at Hematology Oncology and the staff at Rogue Regional Medical Center. A celebration of Jeannie’s life will take place at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the Craterian Theater with Pastor Tom Sabens of Grace Point Fellowship officiating. A reception will follow immediately at the Rogue Valley Country Club. Please wear purple, Jeannie’s favorite color, if you would like to honor her memory. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Sparrow Club, 2960 Doctors Park Drive, Medford, Ore. 97504 or www.sparrowclubs.org .
