Goodwill distributes funding vouchers to local agencies Thursday Feb 2, 2017 at 2:56 PM Feb 2, 2017 at 2:56 PM Goodwill Industries will distribute $62,850 in vouchers to social service agencies in four Southern Oregon counties for people who need clothing and basic essentials, according to a news release. The vouchers will be distributed to 72 agencies in Jackson, Josephine, Klamath and Douglas counties, including Maslow Project, Community Works, Compass House, Head Start, Living Opportunities and Rogue Retreat. A majority of the funding comes from retail sales, the release said. The voucher program began in 1998, stemming from "the magnitude of requests Goodwill received for assistance with clothing and household goods," the release said.
