Skate rentals are $2.50. Admission to the rink is free for children ages five and under, $3.50 for youths ages 6-14 and $4 for adults. Breakfast with Santa: On the morning of the Medford’s Winter Lights Festival, Saturday, Nov. 29, children can start the day with one of the city's favorite holiday traditions. Families can enjoy a hot breakfast, kids will have fun making a special holiday craft, and then the family can get a photo with the jolly old elf himself. The sessions run from 9 to 9:45 a.m. and 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the Santo Community Center, 701 N. Columbus Ave., Medford. Seating is limited to a maximum of 100 people per session. Rogue Valley Railroad Show: Five local train clubs will present the 37th annual Rogue Valley Railroad Show from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, at the Medford Armory, 1701 S. Pacific Highway, Medford. The show features railroad layouts and exhibits at various scales, dozens of vendors of railroad-related items, historic railroading displays and memorabilia, genealogy searches, hourly door prize drawings, a raffle and hands-on activities for kids. All proceeds benefit the Medford Railroad Park. Admission is $5 for adults, $1 for kids ages 6 through 12, and free for children 5 and younger with an adult. Santa and Holiday Wreath Making: Visit Santa Claus, make a holiday wreath, enjoy hot cider and cookies and visit Kids Craft Corner and the Holiday Boutique from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, at Hanley Farm, 1053 Hanley Road, Central Point. Store-bought or handmade items are welcome, as well as new or gently used books. The Schneider Museum of Art: Selections from PORTLAND2014: A Biennial of Contemporary Art, an exhibit that surveys Oregon artists who are defining and advancing the contemporary arts landscape, will run through Dec. 6 at The Schneider Museum of Art on the Southern Oregon University campus, 1250 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland. Curator Amanda Hunt visited nearly 50 studios and reviewed more than 300 entries before selecting 15 Oregon artists to participate in the exhibit. These artists include up-and-coming as well as established professionals who work in a variety of media. Most are based in Portland, Salem or Eugene.
