Pat Benatar concert canceled at Britt Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Aug. 17, 2015 at 1:43 PM Posted Aug. 17, 2015 at 1:43 PM » Social News The Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo concert at the Britt Festivals in Jacksonville, scheduled for Sept. 4, has been canceled, Britt officials announced in a news release this afternoon. Giraldo, a guitarist and Benatar's husband, underwent emergency eye surgery because of an injury the weekend of Aug. 8-9, according to his Facebook page. All of their concerts have been canceled through Sept. 6. "(Giraldo) is unable to fly, exert himself or engage in any activity that could compromise the healing process," an announcement on the couple's website reads. "So with heavy hearts, we will have to cancel the scheduled dates, through Alaska. We know this is such a huge disappointment for everyone, us included." Britt ticket holders can either receive a refund; apply the amount of purchase toward tickets for another concert in the 2015 season, subject to availability (no exchange fee will be charged); receive a credit on their Britt customer account, which can be used for future purchases; or donate tickets back to Britt as a refund.
