Wier made his initial appearance Monday in Jackson County Circuit Court on a charge of possession of methamphetamine. He was booked into the Jackson County Jail and released on his own recognizance. Theft — Roberto Torres-Gonzalez, 34, of Portland. Torres-Gonzalez made his initial appearance Monday in Jackson County Circuit court on charges of aggravated first-degree theft and two counts of first-degree theft. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance. Assault — Brandi Ann Bernaert, 33, of the 1200 block of Progress Drive, Medford. Medford police Monday arrested Bernaert on charges of felony fourth-degree assault and harassment. She was lodged jail and released after posting bail. Tampering — Carol Ann Bullard, 29, of the 200 block of Mace Road, Medford. Medford police late Monday added four counts of tampering with drug records and four counts of identity theft against Bullard. She was originally arrested early Monday on forgery and theft charges. She remained lodged in jail on $90,000 bail. Drugs — Jack Arthur Varner, 43, of the 3000 block of Sheraton Court, Medford. Medford police Monday arrested Varner on a charge of possession of methamphetamine. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance. Kidnapping, contraband — Brian Edward Mendolia, 28, of the 1800 block of Old Stage Road, Central Point. Central Point police Tuesday arrested Mendolia on charges of harassment, disorderly conduct, second-degree kidnapping and supplying contraband. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Tuesday on more than $1 million bail. Crime reports Vehicle theft — 200 block of North Riverside Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report shortly before 9 a.m. Monday of the theft of a 2006 Chevrolet pickup with Oregon license 790-BZH. The pickup was valued at $60,000. Theft — 1200 block of East McAndrews Road, Medford. Medford police Tuesday took a report in which materials valued at $1,000 were stolen from a construction site.
