The National Weather Service reported a cold front is expected to move into the area late tonight or early Friday morning, which will bring precipitation and a double-digit drop in temperatures for much of Southern Oregon. Highs, which have hovered in the mid-60s, are expected to drop to the low 50s. The bulk of precipitation for the Rogue Valley is expected Friday morning into early afternoon, but weather officials say most areas will likely see enduring wet conditions into the evening. Snow levels will stay above 5,000 feet Friday, but could drop below that level by Saturday. "Many areas can expect the coldest temperatures thus far this season," a notice from the National Weather Service said.
