Scott Olive, 42, has been in the Jackson County Jail since Friday on an out-of-county warrant stemming from a custodial interference charge, according to jail records. A news release from the Curry County Sheriff's Office says the 17-year-old girl ran away from her Langlois home in January, the third time in a year. An investigation led police to an RV park in the Gold Hill area, where the two had been staying. Olive was arrested "once investigators learned that (he) had been concealing (the teen's) identity and her locations so that others would not become suspicious of her age and/or their relationship," the release says. Police said the girl had been found with Olive the previous two times she had run away, once in Grants Pass, the other in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Capt. Michael Espinoza said the sheriff's department is still in the early stages of the investigation, but that Olive could face additional charges depending on the outcome. The Jackson County Sheriff's Department and Oregon State Police are assisting.
