Marshfield vaults back to top spot in Class 4A football poll The Associated Press Jesuit's two-week reign in The Associated Press Class 4A high school football poll ended after the Crusaders committed four turnovers and barely beat Glencoe 27-24 on Friday night. John Dailey kicked a 23-yard field goal with 1:48 left to play to give the Crusaders the win. Marshfield reclaimed the top spot, which it had held for three weeks prior to Jesuit moving up, after an easy 50-16 win over South Eugene. Marist stayed No. 2, and Henley moved from No. 4 to No. 3 after a 14-0 win over previous No. 5 Mazama. The Vikings dropped to 10th. All three of the top teams are 6-0. Vale dropped one notch to fourth despite getting the other first-place vote. Ontario moved up a spot to No. 5. Junction City, No. 2 the first four weeks of the season before losing to Marist Oct. 1, began climbing up in the rankings again. The Tigers pounded Glide 43-13 to move from No. 9 to No. 6.
