Eagles pin 78-0 loss on North EAGLE POINT - The No. 2-ranked Eagle Point wrestling team pinned North Medford, 78-0, on Wednesday night to improve to 4-0 in Southern Oregon Conference dual meets. Of the 10 individual matches wrestled, the Eagles recorded eight pins. Rob Folsom, a 5-3 overtime loser to Vic Shelton at 160 pounds, and Jimmy Ulrey, a 10-4 loser to Morgan Edenstrom at 145, were the only Black Tornado wrestlers not pinned. North forfeited four weight classes. Farley Holden of Eagle Point recorded the fastest fall of the night, pinning Bryan Dollarhide in 17 seconds at 112 pounds. The Eagles, who sat out three starters and bumped many of their others wrestlers up a weight class against the Tornado, next partake in the 28-team Oregon Classic on Friday and Saturday in Redmond. Swimming In a three-way Southern Oregon Conference meet on Wednesday, the Grants Pass boys and girls swim teams splashed past Klamath Union and Eagle Point. On the girls side, the Cavers' Xochitl Torres and Christina Cobb each recorded two individual victories and played a part in two relay wins. Grants Pass recorded 150 team points to easily outpace Klamath Union (83) and Eagle Point (73). Aubrey Harrington notched the Eagles' lone individual victory by taking the 200-meter individual medley. In boys action, Adam Zoppo, Scott King and Tyler Van Brunt powered the Cavemen by cruising to two individual victories apiece. Van Brunt also was a member of two winning relay teams, and Zoppo swam for one. Grants Pass totaled 149 points to top Klamath Union (72) and Eagle Point (52). The Eagles' John Cooper, John Sweet and Robert Corliss each recorded a second-place individual finish and had a hand in two second-place relay showings.
