This guy A Redbook magazine 'I Have the Hottest Husband!' contest shines the spotlight on a Grants Pass native By Heather Black Mail Tribune Some women may think they have one of the hottest husbands in the United States. But Anna Cooper, 24, of Grants Pass can prove it. Her husband, Marc Cooper, 27, is one of 18 finalists from around the country in Redbook Magazine's "I Have The Hottest Husband!" contest. Redbook got more than 600 entries when the contest was announced in June 2006. Marc Cooper is a lieutenant in the U.S. Army and returned to the states in February after being deployed in Iraq for 14 months. Currently, the Coopers are temporarily living in Germany. "I always told my husband I was going to enter him in the contest ever since they started it," Anna Cooper wrote in an e-mail to the Mail Tribune. "I entered him when he was away at war so I knew he couldn't stop me from doing it." Advertisement To enter the contest, Anna had to send in a picture and a short essay describing Marc. The essay described how last Christmas, Marc was deployed to Iraq and had sent a video with pictures of himself set to their favorite songs. "Even though we're oceans away, he never lets a day go by without expressing his love for me," Anna wrote to Redbook. Anna said Marc was flattered but uncomfortable with his sudden brush with fame. "He doesn't consider himself the hottest husband," Anna wrote in the e-mail. "He's not big on attention." So, what puts someone in the top 18 of hottest husbands? "In my opinion my husband, besides being extremely hot, is one of the greatest people I know," she said. "There is no room for doubt in the way he feels about me, and that is one of his most attractive qualities. He is also very athletic and keeps himself in the best shape." The winner, chosen by Redbook readers, will receive an eight-day, seven-night trip for two to the Ka'anapali Beach Hotel on the island of Maui in Hawaii and will be featured in the June 2007 issue.
