Oregon Road Conditions & Cams Email Story to a Friend September 20, 2005 Ratty stars for Pacific FOREST GROVE — Freshman Courtney Ratty has had plenty to do with the Pacific University’s No. 9 ranking in the National Soccer Coaches Association of American Division III West Regional poll. Ratty has scored a pair of goals and recorded an assist in the team’s first five matches. The Crater High graduate scored the game-winning goal for the Boxers in rain-soaked, 1-0 win over Northwest Conference rival Linfield Friday. Ratty’s season marks rank in the top 10 in the Northwest Conference, with her goal total tying her for eighth and her shots per game average (2.80) garnering her a tie for ninth. In recognition of Ratty’s effort on the field, she received a nomination for the NWC offensive player of the week for the week. Pacific (4-1-0, 2-0-0 NWC) ranks first in the NWC in goals (19), goals per game (3.8), goals against (1), goals against average (0.20), and shutouts (4). The Boxers rank second in assists (11) and assists per game average (2.20).
