Oregon Road Conditions & Cams Email Story to a Friend April 8, 2005 Emergency Services Felony arrests Vehicle theft — Dick Allen Hazen, 18, of the 2600 block of Falcon Street, White City. A Medford police officer Thursday arrested Hazen on warrants charging him with unlawful use of a vehicle and a probation violation. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail and later transferred to the county juvenile hall. Theft — Richard Weldon Shields Jr., 21, of the 800 block of Black Oak Drive, Medford. A Medford police officer Thursday arrested Shields on a charge of first-degree theft. He was lodged in jail and later released because of overcrowding. Theft — Lisa Arellanes, 41, of the 1000 block of B Street, Ashland. Arellanes appeared Thursday in Jackson County Circuit Court on an indictment charging her with first-degree theft and fraudulent use of a credit card. She was booked into jail and released on her own recognizance. Theft, drugs — Nichole Lee Kendall, 22, of the 200 block of Laurel Street, Central Point. Kendall appeared Thursday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging her with two counts of possession of methamphetamine, first-degree theft and possession of designer drugs. She was booked into jail and released on her own recognizance. Weapons — Jack Allan Sterling, 58, of the 2200 block of Table Rock Road, Medford. Sterling appeared Thursday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with being a felon in possession of a weapon. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance. Theft — Craig Steven Ballantyne, 52, of the 3600 block of Jacksonville Highway, Medford. Ballantyne appeared Thursday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with first-degree theft, and four out-of-county warrants. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Thursday on $125,000 bail. Advertisement Drugs — Leah Ann Staten, 41, of the 500 block of Bessie Street, Medford. Staten appeared Thursday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging her with two counts of delivering methamphetamine and possessing methamphetamine. She was booked into jail and released on her own recognizance. Drugs — Robert Chad Curry, 37, no known address. A Central Point police officer Thursday arrested Curry on charges of methamphetamine possession, providing false information to police about a crime, carrying a concealed firearm and possession of a destructive device. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Thursday on $18,000 bail. Drugs — Jessica Nicole Anderson, 18, of the 7600 block of Garrison Avenue, White City. Anderson appeared Thursday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging her with delivering marijuana. She was booked into jail and released on her own recognizance. Theft — Pamela Lee Schirripa, 51, of Nampa, Idaho. Schirripa appeared Wednesday in Jackson County Circuit Court on an indictment charging her with four counts of first-degree theft and aggravated first-degree theft. She was booked into jail and released on her own recognizance. Drugs — Timothy Lee Marsh, 27, of the 6400 block of Ponderosa Street, Central Point. Marsh appeared Wednesday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with hashish possession. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance. Assault — Tatanka Yotanka Scott, 26, of the 3300 block of South Pacific Highway, Medford. A Medford police officer Wednesday arrested Scott on a charge of fourth-degree assault. He was lodged in jail and later released on his own recognizance.
