Body of missing camper found in Rogue River Ryne Nace Wednesday Feb 21, 2018 at 2:59 PM Feb 21, 2018 at 2:59 PM Local report A body found in the Rogue River by a rafter in Josephine County has been identified as that of a 27-year-old camper reported missing last month. An autopsy Wednesday confirmed the body found Friday near Grave Creek was Ryne Taylor Nace, according to a press release issued by Oregon State Police. The Oregon State Medical Examiner ruled out foul play in Nace's death. Nace, who lived in Josephine County, was reported missing Jan. 14 after he failed to return home from camping near the Argo Recreation Site, according to the Josephine County Sheriff's Office. OSP's criminal investigation division took over the investigation in late January, after earlier searches were unsuccessful. On Jan. 15, Josephine County Search and Rescue volunteers searched the area near his campsite, where they found his green Subaru wagon, police said. A dive team searched the Rogue River near the campsite the next day. Nace's body was found about four miles downriver from his campsite, according to Oregon State Police, about a quarter-mile downriver from the Grave Creek boat ramp.
