Royal Ave. All purchases will support an effort to rebuild the mill after a Christmas day 2015 fire. The sale, to be held in a large tent on the property, will feature food products and spices, along with random memorabilia. Mill owner Bob Russell said collectibles include old irons, horse collars, old pharmacy equipment, tins, kitchen gadgets and furniture. Many of the items will be discounted, and some have smoke damage from the fire. Only cash will be accepted. Event officials also will take donations. The fire that destroyed the 143-year-old mill was reported just after 4 a.m. Christmas morning. Crews from Jackson County Fire District 3, Medford Fire-Rescue and the Lake Creek Rural Fire District arrived to see the 5,522-square-foot building consumed by flames. The fire's cause is still under investigation. Crews have been sifting through the rubble over the last month. A crane was recently employed to pull off the remains of the second floor and loft so they can move deeper into the structure and try to pinpoint the origin of the blaze. "We're really hoping to get in and start the investigation hopefully next week," Fire District 3 spokeswoman Ashley Lara said. For more information, see www.buttecreekmill.com .
