Blankenship and Loren Barrus were married July 5 at the Ashland Springs Hotel in Ashland. The bride's brother, Steven Blankenship, officiated. The bride is the daughter of Margaret Blankenship of Sacramento, Calif. She graduated from Northwest Christian College with a degree in education. She is a teacher. The groom is the son of Deloy and Ruth Barrus of Sacramento. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in medicine. He is an ophthalmologist in Medford. Bridesmaids were the bride's daughter, Christina Haynes, Dorcas Herr, the groom's daughter, Danielle Wilson, Chris Marsilia and the groom's daughter, Vanessa Barrus. Groomsmen were the bride's son, Joe Gallagher, the groom's son, Ryan Barrus, the bride's son-in-law, Kevin Haynes, the bride's son, Mike Gallagher and the groom's son, Ethan Barrus. Flower girl was the bride's granddaughter, Shayla Haynes. After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the newlyweds are living in Medford.
