Ashland ski teams fare well in slalom runs LAKEVIEW - The Ashland girls and boys ski teams both grabbed a first-place lead in the giant slalom run at the Warner Canyon Ski Area on Friday. The regular season ends today with the slalom run. Lakeview's Jens Odegaard took first in boys with a combined time of 1 minute, 45 seconds, while Ashland's Brian Westerberg finished second in 1:47.57. Josh Jones of St. Mary's grabbed fourth at 1:50.57. Logan McConnell was the highest South Medford finisher in 15th place with a time of 2:01.38. Nick Ghiz took 22nd for North Medford. In girls, Megan McDonald of Lakeview took first in 1:58.90 with Ashland's Lindsay Warren in second at 1:59.15. Liz Meyerding (2:05.14) too fourth, while Brianna Staff (2:11.49) finished eighth for North Medford.
