THE VALLEY Front Street deli/pub gets new name, look Stuff's Market on Front Street in downtown Medford is sporting a new name: Howiee's on Front. The deli and pub changed its name at the beginning of March because people kept confusing it with Stuft Pizza, according to Lani Hawkins, who owns the bar with her husband, Howiee. The pub, which features 12 beers on tap and a large selection of imports, also plans some remodeling in the next week or so. The bar will be extended and video poker machines will be added, Hawkins said. She said they have also talked about adding hard liquor and full meals down the road. GP chamber elects board of directors Fred Borngasser and Jacqueline Roberts were elected to the Grants Pass/Josephine County Chamber of Commerce board of directors, the chamber announced. Joyce Meany, Herschel Nordaus and Jodi Wainwright were re-elected to the board. Board members serve three-year terms. Borngasser is a civic member of the Chamber, while Roberts works for KAJO/KLDR radio. Meany works for the Job Council, Nordhaus for Western Auto, and Wainwright for Community Bank of Grants Pass. Officers will be elected at the board's April meeting. Personal trainer opens in Medford Patrick Frey has opened TOPFIT Personal Training in Medford. He designs custom exercise and fitness programs and trains clients of all ages in their homes or gyms. Frey was certified as a personal trainer by the American Council on Exercise, the largest nonprofit fitness certifying organization in the world. He competed in the Bill Pearl Classic Bodybuilding Championship and has been involved in fitness for the past 25 years. For information about the programs, call 814-2998.
