Karen Lovely Jan 11, 2008 12:00 AM A A The Karen Lovely Band will perform at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at Alex's Plaza Restaurant, 35 N. Main St., Ashland. The blues vocalist will be joined by Bob DiChiro on upright bass; Michael Ruiz on drums; Joe Diehl on guitar; and Gary Halliburton on keys. Singers Cantrell Maryott and Marcella Ruikis will sit in, along with guitarist and singer Rob DeCosta. Lovely's set list includes works by Nina Simone, Etta James, Billie Holiday and others.
