Medford police Monday arrested Carson on charges of possession of amphetamines and providing false information about his vehicle-insurance status. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he was released on bail Monday morning. Theft — Lucas Andrew Steffy, 24, of the 1600 block of Kings Highway, Medford. Medford police Monday arrested Steffy on two counts of first-degree theft. He was lodged Monday in the Jackson County Jail, where he was being held Monday in lieu of $10,000 bail. Drugs — Jose Guadalupe Villa-Ayala, 55, of the 900 block of Dakota Avenue, Medford. Villa-Ayala made his initial appearance Monday in Jackson County Circuit Court on charges of manufacture and delivery of heroin and delivery of a controlled substance within a school zone. He was processed Monday at the Jackson County Jail, then released on his own recognizance. Burglary — Jeremy William Walker, 25, of the 700 block of North Riverside Avenue, Medford. Medford police Monday arrested Walker on charges of first-degree burglary, second-degree theft, second-degree criminal mischief, possession of amphetamines and two counts of contempt for allegedly violating a restraining order. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he was being held Monday in lieu of $43,000 bail. Miscellaneous Jail releases — A total of 82 inmates were released last week from the Jackson County Jail to meet its new court-ordered cap 230 inmates. Of those, 28 were released before their scheduled court appearances, nine were granted an early release from a sentence and 45 were released for miscellaneous reasons.
