Toni Gail Crippen, 50, of the 200 block of Arnwood Street, Medford, faces eight counts of first-degree theft, a felony. Indicted Monday, she will be summoned to hear the charges in Jackson County Circuit Court on Oct. 22. A longtime employee of U.S. Bank, Crippen transferred money from the account of local District 6 Little League to her own U.S. Bank account without permission from the baseball organization’s board members, said Medford police Lt. Mike Moran. More than $6,000 was taken from District 6 Little League between February 2001 and August 2003, Moran said. Crippen intended to pay the money back, but a fellow U.S. Bank employee uncovered the theft, he said. Crippen is no longer employed at the bank, he added. Oregon Little League’s District 6 includes teams from Medford, Ashland, Phoenix, Talent, Eagle Point, Klamath Falls, Chiloquin, Lakeview and La Pine.
