Mount Ashland and Crater Lake should be hit the hardest, said Jay Stockton of the National Weather Service office in Medford. Snow levels will hover around 3,500 feet this afternoon and fall to 3,000 by tonight. Between 5 to 10 inches of snow could blanket the Siskiyous and Cascades throughout the day, potentially hampering travel over the Siskiyou Summit along Interstate 5. The storm could continue through Sunday, with snow levels falling to 2,000 feet, with 20 to 25 mph winds, Stockton said. Would you like to respond to this story? If so Click Here to visit our forums.
