The Raiders (9-4) collected 26 hits in the twinbill while allowing only seven, including a combined one-hit shutout by pitchers Miranda Gillaspie and Amanda Cregan in Game 1. Junior shortstop Kara Ray had a perfect day at the plate by going 7-for-7 in the two games with five stolen bases, four RBI and accounting for five runs. Junior first baseman Amy Williams and junior all-star Haley Varley each went 5-for-8. Gillaspie improved to 3-2 by working five innings and whiffing 10 in Game 1, and freshman Megan Beugli (2-1) scattered six hits in 41/3 innings for the Game 2 victory. Southern caps a nine-game California road trip tomorrow morning in Scotts Valley against Bethany College. Advertisement Tennis SOUTHERN OREGON 6, ALBERTSON 4 — At Caldwell, Idaho, freshmen Annie Chaney and Danielle Farber keyed the Southern Oregon’s sixth straight win. Chaney and Farber each won in the singles and teamed for a No. 1 doubles victory over the established team of Lauren Writer and Katie Webster. The Raiders (7-1) complete the spring-break round-robin against Willamette today in Nampa, Idaho. Southern Oregon defeated Willamette 5-4 earlier this season. SINGLES — Annie Chaney, SO, d.
