Cecena, 22, of the 8000 block of Atlantic Avenue, entered not guilty pleas Wednesday to charges of first-degree burglary, unlawful use of a weapon, five counts of recklessly endangering another person and first-degree theft. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for June 15 in Jackson County Circuit Court. Cecena remains lodged in Jackson County Jail on $750,000 bail. On May 23, Jackson County sheriff's deputies received several reports of multiple gunshots and a speeding vehicle near the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Avenue H in White City. Two bullet holes were found in the side of a house that was not believed to be a target of the shooting, which authorities believe may have been gang-related. A bullet was found inside a pillow on a bed where a resident of the home was sleeping, deputies said. Cecena was arrested May 25 and taken to jail.
