The event includes an appearance by the Easter Bunny. Renowned mycologist Paul Stamets will speak at 9 a.m. at the SOU McNeal Pavilion gymnasium, from 10:45 to 11:30 a.m. urban forestry and arborculture instructor Paul Ries will speak, from 11:30 to noon local arborist August Schilling will speak, at noon SOU President Ray Saigo will accept the awards of Tree Campus USA from the Arbor Day Foundation and Tree of the Year from the City of Ashland, and from 1 to 3:30 p.m. the SOU Landscape Services department and Plant Oregon will give a hands-on volunteer planting demonstration.
